We left Chippewa Falls this morning en-route to Two Harbors, MN. It was 172 miles and an easier drive than the last couple of driving days. The scenery was gorgeous. In the Superior/Duluth area there was some fog. Not enough to hinder travel, just enough to make it look neat!

This hill looked pretty steep. Just hoping we would make it through Wisconsin! |

Lunch break south of Minong, WI, Trego/Minong roadside table |

Seemed like a lot of tunnels on the Duluth side. |

If they would only cut down the trees there would have been a lot of good views of Lake Superior!! 😁

We got here around 2 and have everything set up for the week. I'm hoping for ribs and zucchini tomorrow? Tonight was Zoom dinner with the Bostonians. We had used most of our data this month slowing our internet down towards the end of this month, so we'll have to pay attention in July.
We are at Penmarallter Campsite near Two Harbors. Pennie owns it now, but her parents owned it prior and the name is derived from the first 3 letters of their four children. Very nice and clean campground. Smaller with only 20 some campsites as I recall. Lots of trees, large spaces and nice people, both owners and other RVers. Being over the 4th of July, and us getting reservations pretty late we don't have sewer, but we do have 50 amp service and water. They have a dump station and a Honey Wagon though. The best thing is the lows will be in the 60's, with highs in the upper 70's and lower 80's.
We were in this area in 2012, tent camping mostly. I have a list of things I want to see, including several we've been to before, as well as some new ones. Recommended by a friend, and already at the top of my list, is Betty's pies. Food comes before all! Pictures below are from our 2012 trip.
