I have to think on it for a while (sometimes years), I have other things that I need to tackle first (seriously? with only 300 sq. ft. what could I need to do) and the list goes on and on! I don't think I'm a procrastinator as a rule, but when it comes to sewing projects that's a whole different ballgame. My goal is to complete a baby quilt top that I pieced 2 years ago and has taken up space! We'll see...
We have had some gorgeous weather. A few days near 80°. Nights have been pleasant in the low 60's.

Neither Pat nor I got in past our knees. It was COLD, but that didn't bother our neighbor Lisa (Wisconsin) one bit. We did enjoy the hot tub. |

Spring has sprung here in the park. |
I love going to different parks and looking for new things. Down here there are so many springs to explore, something we haven't seen a lot of in other places. We went to Wiliford Springs the other day. Springs are categorize by there magnitude, or how much water flows out of them. They range from 1st magnitude (the biggest) to 8th magnitude springs (the smallest). Williford Springs is a 2nd magnitude spring on Ecofina Creek discharging more than18 million gallons of water PER DAY!! We followed a 1 1/2 mike trail to two other springs, Pitt and Sylvan, both 2nd magnitude at this same location.

The Southern Blue Flag Iris's were part of the 2015 restoration project. They dredged the spring to open the vent and planted plants to stop erosion from the shoreline. |
|
Wiliford Springs attracked a few swimmers in the year-round 68° water. |
|
Canoers were not allowed in the spring area but they could take a short walk on the boardwalk to reach it. |
|
More swimmers at one of the other springs. |
Tuesday we took one last trip to Dothan, Al. It was the last visit to the orthopedic group that did the release on my two trigger fingers at the beginning of Jan. Still having problems with one and she thought it may be related to something else that would require a hand specialist. Next stop will be Houston and I just happen to have one I've seen before. We saw 3 more peanuts and went to Texas Roadhouse for Valentine's Day.
I hope you all had a great Valentine's Day. With the snow this week I imagine you are looking forward to spring.
Where are the Piepers now? Bonifay, FL
