A fun night at the La Porte Mardis Gras Parade and Mardis Gras on Main. So many venders and food trucks, free activities for the kids, entertainment and LOTS of fun.

A little fog on Super Bowl Sunday and a beautiful sunset. We watched the Chiefs win with Pat's sister, her husband, and our friends from Wisconsin. Nice enough to begin the evening outside. Chili, cornbread and brownies enjoyed by all.

| We had little cakes from Rum Cake Escape. A vanilla rum and a cinnamon/banana whiskey. Very, very good and each had a little baby baked inside just like a King Cake. |

Boy did we have strong north winds Sunday night and with that came some treasures on the beach Mon. morning. I have been collecting these shells for a project but I found two different sets that were still closed with something in it. I tossed them back out into the sea.
